Research Cluster Sustainable Drug Research

Health is a sustainable development goal enshrined in Sustainable Development Goal 3 by the UN.

The Sustainable Drug Research cluster aims to develop new synthesis methods and uses for drugs, as well as innovative therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, in order to contribute to the achievement of the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 3.

To this end, an interdisciplinary university team has been formed to carry out specific projects and facilitate a secure exchange of information. This ambitious goal requires interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary collaboration between several disciplines with expertise in chemical synthesis, biochemistry, cell biology, process engineering, (laser) analysis methods, micro- and nanotechnology, molecular biology, data analysis, and bioinformatics.

The research cluster is integrated into the university's sustainability strategy and the research centers for materials and process technology and sustainable processes and procedures at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.

Details on the cooperative work can be found here.
